Let’s move today to beautiful Slovakia where Tatras to Danube relay race will take place in the middle of August 2020.
Starting Saturday morning of August, 15th, near the Polish border in a place called Jasná which is located in Demänovská valley in Tatra mountains, the race course will bring relay teams on Sunday to the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. The teams will have to complete a pretty challenging 345-km long distance with impressive total elevation gain of 4000 m. The track consists of 36 laps, each of them has a different difficulty level and length, varying from 7 to 12 km.
Tatras to Danube relay will host runners for the eighth time this year, and it looks like 2020 will bring a new record number of participating teams, with over 230 teams registered so far. By the way, the current record was set in 2018, when 210 teams crossed the finish line in Bratislava.
Can you imagine that the best results which would guarantee Top-3 belong to the teams who finished in unbelievable time of under 24 hours? This means that average pace of these teams was faster than 4:10/km, all day long, no matter how difficult the running section was!
Does it look inspiring to run and feel team spirit on the roads of Slovakia? You want to know what you and your team are capable of on the way to Bratislava? Check this out in August!
